These balances are also called as precision balances. This class of balances have readability of 1 mg or less. Toploading precision balances have more capacity then the analytical balances, but they are less accurate than them. They are generally used for weighing higher amount of the samples and can handle larger samples ranging from several hundred grams to several kilograms.
