Compounding Hood HEPA Filtered Enclosures are designed to provide an environment free from air-borne contaminants during the preparation of sterile products. These are used to filter out bacteria and other exogenous materials from the air and to maintain constant airflow out of the hood to prevent contaminated room air from entering the hood. The air first passes through the prefilter to filter out larger particles and then passes through the HEPA filter which removes the bacterial contaminants and provides a sterile environment in the hood
