Medical centrifuges are the devices used in the laboratory for the separation of the components in the mixture at high accelerations by using the centrifugal force. The device works by using the principle of varying the densities of the sample components, in which smaller or lighter components remain nearer to the axis while the larger or heavier one travels outwards to the edge. They range from separating plasma and serum to analyzing the blood and isolating DNA molecules.
