A Vortex Mixer is a laboratory device used for mixing or blending samples in test tubes, flasks, and micro-tubes. In vortex mixers, the drive shaft is positioned vertically and cupped rubber at the center which oscillates in a circular motion while the motor is running. When a sample is placed on a rubber piece the motion is transferred to the liquid and a vortex is formed in a sample, and this leads to ferocious sample mixing. Vortexter is used to suspend tissue or cell samples for tissue analysis and cell culture, for quality control testing and sample preparation.
