A dosimeter is a device that is used to measure the ionizing radiation exposure through x-rays, alpha, beta, gamma rays and neutrons, etc. It determines the dose of absorbed radiation in greys (Gy) or equal dose in sieverts (Sv). It measures the dosage a human body receives through exposure to external ionizing radiations.
