Rotators are used for mixing samples in clinical testing, molecular biology, and biochemistry. They are used along with sample tubes that are rotated, rocked, and tumbled to mix samples horizontally and vertically. The plate is attached to the fixed center spindle and is placed in the center to produce simple tube rotation while for more vigorous and end-over-end tumbling motion, the plate is placed parallel to the center spindle which is majorly in mixing blood samples and protein precipitation. It has a variety of applications including prevention of blood coagulation, immune precipitations, & latex diagnostics, etc.
